PDF Pattern: Pick n Mitts

The Pick n Mitts pattern is basically 4 mitten patterns in 1!

The mittens are knitted in a stranded cable pattern and there are 4 different patterns to choose from: twister, peanut, zigzag & vines.

The Pick n Mitts are knitted top down in the round. You start by knitting the thumb and then put the stitches on hold while you knit the hand. The thumb and hand are then knitted together before you continue to knit in the round, so it's completely seamless (the thumb is shaped like an afterthought thumb, but you knit it first).
You can choose to finish your mitten with a ribbed edge or let the pattern continue and end with an i-cord edge.

Right and left mitten are knitted the same.

Sizes and measurements
Kids 4-6 years (adult S-M) adult L-XL

Width: 8 (10) 12 cm
Length: 21 (25) 27 cm
Thumb length: 5 (6) 6,5 cm
Note! All lengths can be adjusted to fit your hand

(My hand is approx. 18 cm around my knuckles and I prefer the adult S-M but I can wear all of them)

Gauge
30 sts x 25 row = 10 x 10 cm (in the round on 3,5 mm needles in stranded cable pattern.)

Yarn
Finull by Rauma (100% wool, 175 m/50 g) or similar yarn.

A pair of mittens with Ribbed edge:
Colour A: approx. 30 (40) 50 g
Colour B: approx. 25 (30) 35 g

A pair of mittens with i-cord edge:
Colour A: approx. 25 (30) 50 g
Colour B: approx. 25 (30) 50 g

Needles

• Double Pointed needles 3,5 mm (or long 3,5 mm circular needles if you prefer magic loop)
• Double pointed needles 2,5 mm (if you want to do ribbing)

Other materials
